Anna Wahlgren - Standardmodellen
But tonight, M and I are starting with Anna Wahlgren's method. It is called the "Standardmodellen" and it's all about how to get the little one to eat as much as possible during daytime instead of during nighttime, which is the case for Alexis. In three days time, we'll hopefully have changed the bad routine of having the big meals during night and instead sleep about 8 hours between 8.00pm and 04-00am (that's the goal anyhow, we'll see if we manage to solve it through her well known technique, now it's more like he wakes up for food around 11.30pm, 01.30am, 3.30am and sometimes every hour until 07.00am). With this settlement, he will go to bed full in the belly and happy, and wake up at 04.00am for a proper meal and then have breakfast at 07.00am. It would be a dream if it works!
Both Alexis and I feel so much better when we've had those seldom but wonderful nights of longer sleep. I am happier, he is happier and all bubbly and he eats better during daytime when he has had a proper night's sleep. Which is unfortunately rare.
Anyhow, THIS is the technique we're planning to use and I'll tell you if it worked when we're done. It is not the model that is used for older kids (from 4-6 months - up to 16 years old) "SHN/Sova hela natten - tekniken", - Standardmodellen is the one used so that the SHN - tekniken won't be needed. We are in other words trying to solve the problem before it has become a real one.
Wish us luck!
