The Hassan II Mosque - Casablanca

Alexis and me admiring the beauty of one of the world's most incredible counstructions. The Hassan II Mosque (مسجد الحسن الثاني - in arabic) is the largest mosque in Africa and the 7th largest in the world. The tall spire (minaret) is the worlds tallest with its 210m looking out over the Atlantic. It was amazing and the most impressive and outstanding mosque I've ever seen. Enormous in size, imposing in architecture and with a religious atmosphere that lay like a mantle over the whole area. In total, the mosque can take 105 000 worshippers combining indoors and outdoors. Part of the mosque floor is transparant so that the people can see the water beneath. Apparently it will give you a stronger religious meaning according to a verse that says: "[...] that the throne of Allah was built on water".
I will show you more pictures of this french built piece of art later.
