Moscow jacket

All readers of my blog probably found out about my passion for dressing and all of that by now. Dressing for me is a form of art, a way of living, breathing, expressing myself - and most certainly something I enjoy to the fullest.
Some weeks ago, I got this winter jacket sent home and although I could never see myself in a bulky winter jacket before because of their unfashionable design and the impossibility to look good in one of them, I very often dress in what I like and thus complain about how cold it is. I can only blame myself in other ways. M is very often irritated by that fact and he thinks that I should get myself a proper winter jacket, regardless of its style.
So when I got this and realised that it actually is the nicest winter jacket I've seen, it made it easier to be warm. It is totally black with small brown leather details. It has two layers of lining to really keep the cold outside as much as possible. And the inner lining jacket is actually very pretty. I'll use it with other coats also because it is very easy to take the two layers apart which also means that you have a less warm spring/autumn parka if you want. It comes with a comfortable hood covered in fur that is easy to take away if necessary. I can truly recommend it if you are looking for a warm, good looking winter jacket and are bored of the C.G, Fjällräven and all of the different brands on the market that everybody wears. If you would like one too, simply go HERE and search for MOSCOW in the search field.

  8. Stina, I think it’s a beautiful and original jacket, but to characterize Canada Goose and Fjällräven as abundant commodities might be a mistake. Most of the brands you wear are generic brand and worn by millions of people around the world. Check for example out the top-selling bags in 2007 (http://images.businessweek.com/ss/07/12/1220_best_bags/source/1.htm), I am pretty sure you own some of these brands ;-)

    1. I see ur point, but if u walk through Stockholm a sunny winter-saturday, 8 out of 10 will wear a CG or Fjällräven jacket (including myself) although maybe only 1 will wear on of those exclusive $1000 bag.. so it´s not quite the same thing if u ask me.

    2. Hi there, first I would like to now if you are from Sweden? If you are, I think you know more what I am talking about when referring to this kind of "we all wear the same things". It is probably the fact that often happen in a city of the size of Stockholm, where we love to wear what everyone else wear in a much broader aspect than many other cities. Anyhow.
I would never compare Canada Goose to a Hermés bag. Hermés bags is produced in a very small scale, very often with 2 years of waitng lists and the same with Chanel that very often handle one or maybe two bags of the same in one store JUST to keep the uniqeness of them and not to have them in to many copies. Off course there is a lot of women around the world that uses these brands, but just as you were saying "around the world" which makes the spreading much bigger. A C:G jacket, especially in a couple of years ago in Stockholm, was worned by more or less everyone. And sold in massive examples in so many places. So there is a enormous differens between a high end bag and a common winter-jacket that is produced in one million more copies then most of these rare bags.
And referring to the Moscow jacket, I am not saying that this is a amazing jacket because of its uniqueness, but I've never seen the brand before and it is as good as it gets if you need to buy something maybe not as funny (more for the winter purpose of keeping me warm) as a bag that you will own forever and collect as one of the icons of the fashion and design world.

    3. anonym nr 2: exactly! and I wish these Hermés and Chanel bags cost 1000 us, unfortunatly the price for a good Chanel bag is at least 4 times 1000 us dollars and a Hermés bag around 8 times 1000 us dollar, so it is impossible to make an comparison to a massivly produced winter-jacket. It would be like comparing the use of a Volvo to a limited edition of a Maserati car.

  9. Ah Stina ! I dont understand people most of time... they just are jealous or I dont see why they answer such stupidities. Anyway, I still not have understood of which label is this famous jacket ? May be I never heard of it... or I am also stupid who knows !!!! I have something similar for 15 years old from Chanel bought on sale and so warm and doubled that I look like the "man of snow" ! XXX

  10. Ladies, I was only expressing the impression I have when I read the blog, which is surely very subjective. Further I think it is always useful to get some constructive criticism. I would like to ask you Stina, where I can find out how many copies there are of each Chanel bag? Thanks!
