Red in front of the horizon

My man has always said that wherever we decide to get our house in the future, there must be mountains. I've returned back and said that "I need the water". We haven't found the perfect place yet, although when seeing these pictures taken 5 minutes away from where we live now, you might think we're in paradise. For me, this power of nature, the greatness of mother earth is just impeccable and outstanding. Look back at the horizon, the white snow tops on the mountains and the lake are so peaceful. If this isn't tranquility then what is?

  1. Beautiful pictures Stina, so relaxing. I was thinking about your post about relaxing and I am exactly the same: a walk in nature or a long hot bath.
Speaking of which... my friend recently moved to Stockholm and has had a hectic time and I wanted to give her a gift voucher for a nice body massage there. Do you have any tips on great places to go?
Thanks so much for your help in advance!

    1. Hi, thank you very much for such a lovely comment. Nature is so strong when it comes to this sort of strength.

I would suggest Grand Hotel, I've been to Yasuragi but hated it, to minimalistic and boring for my taste. Grand Hotel or Sturebadet I would say but I very seldom take massages actually so maybe some of my Swedish readers can help here?

      Anyone?

    2. I do not have other suggestions than Sturebadet either, but pelase, stay away from Centralbadet! I have only heard bad things about it and that they are rude, it is dirty and no pleasent at all.

      Hope you find something!

  2. I am absolutely like you Stina, I need water and a town with water. Well, for mountains.... I do not sky so I really prefer the sea. I think that the place where you live is fabulous if you can walk only 5 min and be at lakeside. You are so pretty with Tiger into your arms like a very young lady full of tenderness, I love this gilet. Did you find it in the Bon Génie Shop in ZH ?

Yes, we're lucky with the lake side so close and still have the closeness to everything else also.

      Warm regards,

  8. Hi Stina,

I recently stumbled upon your blog and I have become addicted to it. I check it everyday and really enjoy all your beautiful photos and updates. It seems that we have quite a lot in common, as I too have a Swiss boyfriend, who I will be moving to Switzerland for soon! Your advice on Swiss living is much appreciated! ;)

You wardrobe is amazing. It's chic, timeless yet stylish. Do you have any advice for women who want to dress like you yet are on a tighter budget? I'd love to know about your shopping habbits and how you do your shopping. Do you assign a certain amount each month, or buy spontaneously? Please share your wonderful advice!

    Thanks in advance!

I'm from Austria so I can understand your husbands wish to have mountains in the area he's living - same for me! So when I moved to Vancouver for a year I just found the perfect place on earth - a beautiful, clean city with a great vibe and lifestyle, surrounded by the ocean and mountains, just 10 minutes away, where you even can go skiing! I've totally fallen for this amazing city!

    1. M have actually been living in canada for 4 years when studied air craft engineering. That's also where he learnt how to fly his own air plane and I know he really like it. Canada and especially Vancouver is quite similar to Sweden i've heard?

      Lucky you then!

  14. Dear Stina,
I enjoy your Blog for quite a time now, but never had the courage to comment, because I never did that before on any Blog and was afraid, that my English is not good enough for this purpose...But the turn of events in the last days showed me, how selfish I am for not thanking you for your unique and absolutely stunning blog and the happines your bring your readers with your striving for beauty and the joy of life. Your are a very special , beautiful and gifted person and I'm sad that some people obviously cant take that as a motivation to make the best out of their lifes, but instead desided to turn to jealousy and a shallow judgement about the things and events you are kindly sharing with us...
Please know, that your blog is a great pleasure you bring to others!!!
    Many thanks from Germany
