Food and cooking

Food and cooking has always been very present in the family when I grew up. In fact, my mother cooked delicious food for us every evening and I was a very happy girl when it was time to have supper. This passion has quite obviously become one of mine and I take great pleasure and pride in cooking in a healthy, seasonal manner, but still with all the goodies from this world and i actually cook every night.
Yesterday's cooking took almost five hours, but it was totally worth it. We enjoyed a very late meal, a heavenly tasting stew with flavours exploding in you mouth and that's a perfect sort of meal for this time of the year.

What's your favourite dish this time of year?

  2. I´m having a dinner tonight and set the menu to be very classic and familiar. Bleak roe (löjrom) for starter, wallenbergare for main course an a very easy home made icecream flavoured with polka-candy for dessert. I like classic and comforting food during the cold months.

    happy holidays,

I have to say that's is a little bit inconvenient and indecent to all, but I love caviar at that time with blinis and sour cream !

  5. After my Sankt Peterburg visit at last late November , first time I cooked borshcht soup which was very delicious and I also like caviar ,with cream ,onion and hard boiled egg. Two days ago I tried your lemon cake with glazure , we liked it too and finished in one day:-(.And I tried one of your old recipe carrot-coconut soup, it was also tasty and for me very healthy recipe.
All the best for 2013 to you and your family.

  8. Hej Stina! //Katrin

  9. Turkey sandwiches are made using the turkey leftovers from Christmas DInner, and just stuffing, mayo and bread. This can go on for a few days depending on how big your turkey was :-)
