Enjoying the light

Well, this wasn't at all what I had planned for. I didn't want to be away from the blog that I love to write. But really, I've felt like I would like to sleep my way through the days to make my illness to go away. Yesterday we found some energy in my body and we went out for a stroll in the sunny weather. I loved the fresh air and we bought my favourite chocolate croissant to celebrate the light here.
I'm trying to put together the conclusion of 2012 I've promised you, pictures that were never shown. So stay tuned. I hope I'll be back on track and post more regularly very soon.

  1. Dear Stina,

I really hope you get well soon! It is so important to get your energy back. I think sometimes if you are really tired it is better to just let go and rest as much as you like. I hope you don't worry about posting regularly because your well being is the most important thing as it affects everything as you know.

Have a relaxing Sunday, and I hope you will have more of the sunny weather!

  4. Hej Stina,

  9. Hi Stina, hope you`re feeling better soon! Just wondering if I could ask you a question? Been reading your blog for several years now, and I have the impression that M has a quite demanding job and works quite a lot. I was just wondering how the two of you handle that? My boyfriend is constantly working, always checking or reading emails, talking on the phone and he tends to get quite hung up in work and can seem a bit distant. Which I think is really hard to cope with and it leads to both frustration and a bit of anger. Anyway, just wondering how you handle this - that is if my impression is correct and he does work long hours, I could be wrong of course! :) - because the two of you seem to have found a way of life that makes you both happy, healthy and beautiful!

    1. Hi Em,

I feel the same like you. I also feel it's very hard and it took some decent argues in the beginning before we both realised there was not much to do about it. M is very seldom working with "work" at home, though he always has project at home he wants to do.
But he comes home late and sometimes need to travel and that can get me furious when I feel that I need to put my life on the side and need to do most work with our son etc. But this is how it's for most men outside Scandinavia. Some of his friends work until 9pm in the evenings! At least M tries to be home around 7-7.30pm in the nights, just in time to say Good night to our son.

I think there is no god way of dealing with it, rather then working with it rather then against it.

I would never accept though that M was constantly reading emails etc when we're together and being "distance". I would just not accept it and neither should you. I don't know what superduper important job he has, but Im sure he can plan in more wisely and act more like a gentleman. Demand it from him!

      Good Luck!
      Warmth,
      stina

    2. Dear Stina, didn`t see your reply until now. Thank you so much and I think you make a good point: working with it rather against it! Stick together and cope with this as a "team" and not letting it come between us. And as you say, this is reality for most men outside of Scandinavia. I will make sure to demand more focus and less time on the phone/computer though! :) Good to have your blog to read while he is working...;) Em

  11. I agree with em- would love a post with your thoughts on how to cope with a career man. To support, being understanding and yet finding time and energy for quality family and couple time. My fiancee is super focused on work which I like - hard working and ambitious but sometimes I get annoyed with all the business call... hope u feel well soon!! Rest, rest , rest - sleep Is the best medicine- and scale down, just do the minimum things u have to for a while. Xoxo
