So a small update from this prison of sickness. Yes, my Lord what a mess we ended up in. They found out that I had a aggressive bacteria and so I got Antibiotics finely. Even our helpful nanny got sick and M could not by any chance stay home for a few days and help me with Alexis. That's when you miss your family so much.
But I actually called down to Geneva at the point when I was about to lose it, and asked my mother in law if she could come up immediately to Zürich and stay with us for a couple of days. And a few hours later she was here, helping in all ways. Such a relief. I am so grateful for that.
Let's just hope that I'll be fine for next week. I have so many fun things that I've decided to do in order to change my negative mood/spiral into something more joyful. A Dolder pedicure with this beautiful girl, trying out Pilates at a place close to me, bathing with the children, arranging a fun competition for you dear readers, taking some nice outfit pics and arranging for my God daughter and one of my best friends arrival here with us. So, Hasta La Vista and talk soon!

You are simply gorgeous! Your life sounds like a fairytale and your man look like a real prince !! keep your good mood up even when life brings difficulties. ReplyDeleteBest regards from beautiful Greece,

"Without some rain you can never appreciate the rainbow" - absolute true!
DeleteI guess the weather is perfect in Greece for the moment, that probably makes life much easier!

Yes, it can be a bit difficult coming to another country and realising not everything is the same as in Sweden! In Sweden a parent have the right to stay home from work when his/her kid is sick, but that's not always the case in other countries, unfortunately. You were clever to ask your mother in law for help, if Alexis dad couldn't take time of work. Sometimes us women are too hard on ourselves and it can be difficult to ask for help. I do hope you get better soon and that Spring will arrive in Zürich and chase away any nasty bacterias!
ReplyDeleteThank you for these words Marie! Very true!

Greetings from Finland :) thank you Stina so much for your blog, you're such a beautiful soul even through hard times. Im about 10 years younger than you but I wish to be like you , so peaceful and smart :) thank you for the inspiration your posts give me for being a better person :)
ReplyDeleteIt's my pleasure and whatever you want to be and strive for in your life, is possible with the right thoughts, heart and mind.

Full of projects you are better Stina! It's me now who have this very rude virus.
ReplyDeleteHum difficult to speak, couphing all the time etc etc..... Impossible at the moment making any purpose for next week....
Anything, just I took the strenght to go to cut my hair which was impossible. But it was so difficult that I went and returned by taxi ! So I can imagine what you had with a little one. Alone. Thanks to your parents in law to have come.
I would like also to get a nice pedicure etc but not the strenght. I like the picture so close to your parents. Near the nice door of the restaurant of the hotel in town, no ?
Oh Uta, nooo ... Hope you will get better soon then! I'm not totally well, but getting there slowly but surely.
DeleteOh, you mean Savoy? Do they make pedicures?
Hugs,
stina

Are you on maternity leave from Sweden and from your old job or are you unemployed? I heard that the Ellipse clinic is now a part of Akademikliniken? Wondering if I can still book you for injections and were to call?
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteThat is correct and I'm somewhere in between but not working at Akademikliniken. How I will come back and start working in Stockholm is yet in negotiations, and if I will it will be a couple of days per month.
Hope to see you when I can give more information.

First of all I wanted to ask: where did you catch that horrible bacteria? :S Sounds rather terrible! Take care and rest a lot ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd second: You should go out and do all of those things and more that you just listed! I want to tell you that those are the little things that all people do, our goal in life is not to save the world and to enjoy small things like that is what gives us a good and healthy balance in our lifes. They might sound superficial to some ignorant people but I'm telling you, if you do just those things that you mentioned in this post, you'll soon realize, once again, how much you really love life!
Hi,
DeleteI think I got it from M's father when we visited their home in Geneva. It has been terrible, believe me!
I think so too, I have been to much keeping myself (for health reasons) inside and I'm sure that when I start to enjoy and do more things again like usual, I will feel better. But thank you for reminding!
Best,
stina
Åh vad jag känner för dig Stina!! Hoppas du mår bättre snart och att din svärmor är snäll och hjälper dig så att du får vila.
ReplyDeleteAll styrka till dig!!!

ReplyDeleteHej,
ReplyDeletekul att du verkar vara "tillbaka"! Man saknar dina inlägg!!!
Kram
Hi, Stina. Hopefully you're well on your way to recovery by the time you're reading this! Plus it's good news to know that you're taking active steps to ensure you remain in the positive realm. Physical workout always helps me to stay balanced, meetings with girlfriends are always up lifting to the spirit and soul. Keep up the good work on yourself!
ReplyDeleteCheers from Australia.
