    1. Hi,

      Swedish, french and English.

When he starts kinderkrippe/daycare a couple of days/ week he will also know German and when he can speek all languages fluent, he will also get Spanish. My man speaks 5 languages and knew 4 of them before he was 8 years old.

      Best,

    3. Dear Stina!

It would be great if you can make a post regarding this topic as it is pretty actual in my life as well (I am German speaking, my fiance Gpanish, we speak English with each other and will live in Norway, where we both speak Norwegian, but not that good though...)
Maybe you can write of the different stages, how he adapt to it and how he replies to you, your husband and other people :)
      Thanks a lot!
      B.

  3. don't set the goals too high though...if you only speak 2 languages, don't expect your son to be fluent in 5...your orthography and grammar are sometimes quite basic btw

    1. I have no goals at all, except that he needs, sooner or later, to learn the basics of our family, which is Swedish, English and French.
The rest is just a bonus and something I think he will need to learn from his own wellbeing when he is older due to the fact that his Kinderkrippe will speak German (if we live here) and our future Nanny will speak SPanish to him simply because M's mother is grown up in Colombia (not her heritage though) and we have so many relatives in Miami and Colombia that he hopefully will find the need himself.

    1. I know Uta! Such an incredible thing that he will get without even knowing how much it will benefit him in the future! I think one of the best things you can give your children is love, secureness, time, presence, education and languages.

      Hugs,

  6. In my opinion, it is always better to speak a few languages at basic level than to speak one language perfectly. We live in London and speak Swedish, English and Bosnian to our daughter and hopefully she will pick them all up when she is older...
