Grey snake

The last two days I've been so terrible tired, my eyes have gone two sizes down and It was hard to find one single picture where I didn't look like I was falling asleep.
When being pregnant, sleep is so crucial and with two dinners in a row and little Alexis as a little wild thing, It took the absolute best of me. The size of the belly is also creating less comfortable night's in terms of pressure and a sense of heaviness - plus the extra weight in legs and feet makes me have a constant exhausted feeling in the rest of the body. Let's just say I haven't been on top the last couple of days and I shall now stop complaining.
But this was one outfit I wore to last nights dinner. It's incredible grey in Zürich and the spring here has really not lived up to my expectations, but what can you do?! I love this light, grey palette and I love this classic bag from Balenciaga. I bought the first model of the Le Dix in 2004 in metallic blue, but this original combination of black, snake and grey is just so chic and much more mature, yet fun!

(fur coat: Yves Salomon, knitted grey top: Philip Lim, pregnancy jeans: H&M, heels: Louboutin, bracelet: Cooee & snake bag: Balenciaga)

  5. You may feel tired, but believe me you look great! I find lots of inspiration in your blog, and your photos are beautiful! Like you I am Nordic and live abroad with a little boy and a lovely man. In our daily life we use three different languages, me, my man and everyone else around us, hehe. Confusion for the little one, but I am persistant and speak Danish to my son. What did you decide to do regarding language for Alexis, and how does it work. Does he mainly use Swedish words?
All the best for the rest of your pregnancy, Im looking forward to following your journey :-)

    1. Hi Trine!

Som interesting that we're almost in the same position! In what country do you live?

At the moment M speaks French when they are alone with each other and I speak swedish when I'm alone. When we're all together we all speak English. Alexis doesn't really speak yet but he understand them all perfectly when we ask him to go and get something etc.

In half a year or so I will send hom two days per week to Kinderkrippe, and there they speak German ...

    2. We live in Ireland now. My husband is Italian and we speak mainly English at home. My little boy is 16 months and does understand all three languages to a degree, I do believe he will speak Danish first as that is the language most developed at the moment, but only a few words yet.
I will send him to nursery two days a week after summer, so the I expect him to speak English more and more.
It sounds like you have the right idea regarding language teaching. I hope Alexis will pick up all languages and I hope the same for my little boy. Nursery is good for little ones, and I'm sure they will both have lots of fun!

  8. Of course it is uncomfortable to be tired and to feel unwell during the pregnancy. But you can imagine that there are women, who work full-time and have to supply a household and a family during their pregnancy and are also tired and feel not wo well ... ?

    1. Hi Sanne,

Of course I can. I did it in my last pregnancy, worked very much and had no man around in the evenings because he only came every second weekend the whole pregnancy, plus, the first year when Alexis grew up I took care of him pretty much by myself and M came from Zürich to Stockholm in the weekends. So you don't need to inform me about this "of course" thing. I've done it all.

This time I'm trying to adapt to another country and taking care of the household with a small toddler, just like any other woman. I would work If I could here, but it's not that simple.

    1. Ok, but the leather shoes with suede details doesn't disturb you? They come from animals just as much.

    3. Leather is a bi-product - we use the animals in food production. Fur and snake are mostly products of animals who suffer solely to adorn a person because it looks nice. Bar the extremely cold climates where fur is an absolutely necessity.

    4. Unfortunately that's what the main population on this earth believe. But it's not the same cow that we eat that you get your leather belt, shoes, jacket, bag from. The leather for our consumption of accessories, clothes etc are brought up mainly for the leather, in most cases around this planet.
