For a picture like this

It's always quite a trip to come down to our house in South of France even if the goal is so much worth it all. Not only the car drive itself, that approximately takes between 7-8 hours if the traffic is smooth, but it needs to be planned quite well for the fact that we travel with a toddler who doesn't stand more then an hour in a car without going totally bananas. So we usually drive when he is suppose to go to bed and then my Dear man needs to do the trip with us two sleeping more or less the whole journey through.
Packing, emptying the fridge etc, etc takes some time when you're away for a longer time (and Alexis is a specialist in unpacking things that is in bags)  but most of the times it run smoothly without any problems.
Except for this time. When I realised 35min into our driving from Zürich that I forgot my computer bag with the computer in, the charger for my camera, lenses, bank cables and all of those things I need to survive and be happy. M just looked at me and said, "No way Stina, we're going to be even later then usual, which means arriving around 05am in the morning, you have to live without your camera and computer for this time". But I just looked at him very seriously and said. "We HAVE to go back".
M was very angry, but turned the car around and yes, after all hassle of picking it up and M sitting all angry in the car ... This picture is the reason for it.
There is so many wonderful moments and memories to capture and remember with photography, and what would I do without important parts of my beloved camera and most important of all, what would I do If I didn't have my dear computer so I could publish one percent of them and show them to you guys??
Life simply wouldn't be that fun and fulfilling. Thank you M (who is in another country at the moment unfortunately, for work and other tasks) for supporting my superficial, time consuming but very lovely and rewarding passion.

  2. Thank thank to M even angry... I have so often forgotten something and my husband had to return so angry also that I can easily imagine the situation.
Stina I have a question? Since sometimes you said our house in South of France but before you mentioned it as the house of the parents of M??!!
Did you buy or rent one for yourselves?

    1. Yes, they behave like that men, when they are stressed. But we now better!

No it's not mine, but my man's house and his parents house - that's why I call it our house. It is in the family now and it's the same with my parents summer house. I refer to it as our house also. And because M is together with me and because we have children and planning to get married, it sort of comes with the package!

      hugs,

  3. Beautiful photo and I am glad you went back for the camera. Does your man not understand that pregnant mothers are expected to forget things! I hope that he is more understanding of your "baby brain" next time. :-)

  8. It is funny how you refer to it as 'our' house when you didn't even work for it...

    1. I find it funny that you, who is not part of my life, M's life or our families life - even bother to have an opinion about it!

    2. And it's "funny" how you always have to say rude and stupid comments to Stina...
If you're really interested/curious about Stinas life (most of us readers are) you could ask her in a polite way like Uta and Åsa did!

Jag vill också tacka M :-)

    3. Honestly, Stina, you shouldn't let such idiot comments in....How stupid can people be? Stupid and jealous, because jealousy is what it's all about...

Kram!

  12. How funny ! That reminded me of the day we were in a taxi to the airport to catch a flight for ....Zürich of all places. We were going to a christening there and I suddenly realized that I'd left the christening present at home. Hubby wasn't pleased either when we had to go back for a very expensive return home to fetch it !

  14. Hi Stina,

The situation in the car must have been quite stressful / silent at the time, both to and from Zürich... When I'm upset, it's always, always a combination of both. :)Just ask my husband. He's Mr Polite/Cool/Kind, and I'm the more "This is wrong-I want this solved here and now"-type of person.

There's at least one thing you could have said:
    If you love me..

    :)

    Take care
