Figs soft as heaven

Yesterday my mother in law brought these handpicked sweet things from the neighbour's property. They are exactly ripe and so very soft, to the extent which makes them break in your hand when you take the first bite. Delicious and so healthy!

  1. I loooove figs. My bf actually "introduced" them to me just 1,5 year ago.. I thought I couldn't like such a weird fruit, but I fell in love. I'm not able to stop! Lucky you to have them in your neighbor's garden! ENJOY ;)

  2. They look mouth watering!

I really admire your commitment to beauty and elegance. Not only, or even mainly in how you dress (although you do it incredibly well), but above all in how you live. In how you consistently choose to take that perspective on life. Quite admirable! And quite unrelated to figs :)

I wish you well in this time of expectation.

Anyway happily Stina is speaking normally and explain things with a normal Englsh.

BF stands for boyfriend, its a very common abbreviation in English...

      Best regards,

    2. It literally means boyfriend, Uta :) I think it is one of the bad habits that came with me back home from the US (I am Norwegian), it's a jargon that is very common there. I will pick my words more carefully next time, I agree with you that one should use our fully equipped language in a better way.

  5. My husband was just saying to me the other night, "I wish I was in Greece right now, it's fig season"! He lived in Greece for several years and loved the figs, we both do, and when they are so fresh like this, divine!

  8. In Portugal I have picked figs from the tree for the first time while sitting on a horse. And since horses loves the taste of the figs as much as we do, I shared my figs with the horse and made it happy. :-)

  9. In all my life I've never tried a fig. I don't know why, I just never have. I may have to give it a go. :)

  10. In all my life I've never tried a fig. I may have to give it a go though after seeing this. Right now I'm a little obsessed with peaches. :)
