At the very last minute

So my handsome man came late, late Friday evening and spent some nice time with us during this weekend and was prepared to drive Alexis and me back to Zürich today. But at the absolute last minute I had a sea of emotions, guilt, pleasure, you name it - about if Alexis and I wouldn't stay another week after all? Even if M's parents would go away for a couple of days and it would only be us two, nevertheless ... with a lovely and refreshing pool, fresh vegetables, good meat, sunny days in a wonderful environment around the property ... it must be better than staying in an apartment in a city.
I had so many thoughts and feelings rumbling around. I have so much to pack in Zürich for our next long getaway and M will be alone again during nights, but in the end we decided to stay and even my man thought it would most certainly be for the better with the pregnancy, for the little one and for me.

So here I am again, sitting in the library on the top floor and writing this post again with the loud cicades making music outside my window and I will soon eat one of these 10pm dinners again on the terrace.
Simply said: expect more pictures from this part of the world for seven more days!
Au Revoir!

Kram

    2. Dear Åsa: Well, my man isn't that much here unfortunately, but yes, Alexis and me feel so good here! Maybe I'll find more bags now that I'm staying for another week! Blink!

    3. Cath: No, I didn't see them, but I heard them from the terrace when we had a late night dinner. I was so tired that I had no energy of going somewhere to celebrate the French National day. Alexis has started to wake up really, really early again and there is hardly no time to rest. So I'm quite tired during the evenings.

But it's true, this region is so charming!

  8. How would I love to be in a such beautiful, relaxing area like you. I think it was the right decision for you, but was M. not angry first of all when you told him to stay another week? He came for the matter to pick you and Alexis up and then he had to drive the whole long way home alone.
I hope you two will be able to spend some time together during your imminent long stay (maybe in Sweden?).
    Greetings
    J.

    1. J: Yes Jasmine, it's cotton for the soul and mind and my creativity is very high when I'm here.

No, he was not angry at all, more surprised and a little stressed maybe, needing to change the plans. But it's better for all of us in fact.

We will have time together when the baby is born and a week before the birth date. Else he is very busy.

  9. After seeing the first pictures on your blog taken early Monday morning, I remembered you writing you'd be leaving on Sunday. You really did make the right choice, by staying, for your well-being and little Alexis. It's a luxury to be able to adjust one's schedule and live the life the way you want it.

Just be careful, if M's parents are leaving you alone, if only for a few days. Keep the cell phone with you at all times. Just to be safe, for you, Alexis and the baby. But I'm sure M already said that...

    1. NK_ Yes, no doubt about it!. It so beautiful here and I love having these non planned days, full of pool time, a little walk in the nature with Alexis leading the way, going to the post office and send the parcels for the baskets and maybe do some food shopping along the way. It's a special way of living here in South of france, it takes some time to adjust to it, but then you can't live without it!

Yes, cellphone etc is on all the time!

      Best,
      stina
