Monday, 15th of July, 7.23 am

Not only do I sleep badly at night due to the fact that I'm now high pregnant, but my son very often also decides to wake up really early in the morning, before the sun goes up actually (around 5 am!) where you can still find some decent, chilly (26°) air to breath in before it reaches the seasonal, hot, hot temperatures (35-37°) that last until 3-4am.
Being up so early means we have a lot of time to spend before the day starts, but it also has it's benefits like seeing how everything comes to life, like these pictures show, shot early this morning. You can sort of see how the sun is melting the humidity over the vineyards and how the pool gets warmed up again. The grass is wet and crispy and all the flowers have small pearls of humidity covering the tropical colours. Nothing bad that hasn't got any good to it. But honestly, now I could do with a siesta since I've already been up three and a half hours ...

  1. Your pictures are so beautiful!!! I tried to look back to the post where you wrote about your camera, but couldn't find it. Can you do another post on that, or help me find the link? Although a good camera is not the most important thing when you have such amazing motives (and Alexis;)), it gives that little extra to a picture - kinda makes you feel that you can "jump" straight into your garden (I wish)...

And your Birkin! Wow! I can imagine how thrilled you are now, it must be an amazing colour!!! I would love one in blue next time, but it's impossible to put an order at the moment.
