Autumn shopping

Autumn is not here yet and I have no wish to have it arriving earlier than expected, but it's always such a pleasure to buy some new clothes for this season wouldn't you say? And since I've been pregnant for almost 10 months now, having to deal with a growing belly and a very small selection of clothes that fit - it's even more fun to indulge in some marvelous autumn shopping. I know exactly what sort of looks I'm striving for and can't wait to be able to use most things in my closet again in a superb combination with some new lovely pieces.
Last time I gave birth to Alexis, I could hardly walk for eight weeks, so this time I've done some really great shopping before he arrives so we can just relax in our country house for as long as we feel like without needing to take the children into the city for that purpose.
This fierce leopard coat from Malene Birger just had to be mine; it's fun, edgy and very chic and will go perfectly with the absolutely amazing knee-boots I've bought. I also have two amazing skirts from Stella McCartney which are tempting me in the closet and some other vey well chosen things. I'm sure I'll find more things as time goes by, but that's the beauty of having very distinct seasons like we have in Sweden/Switzerland and that you need to change what you wear accordingly.
I really can't wait until I'm back into my normal shape after the delivery and I can wear all of these and other beautiful things. I especially can't wait to wear my new skirts and those amazing boots. I'll also get some new cashmere sweaters for the more chilly autumn that I will show you later! Wooohhoooo!

  1. Underbar kappa!

    1. Thank you, I love it too!

      1. A nice coat, preferably in wool or cashmere. Focus on a classic shape if oyu don't really own one, and if oyu have a classic one already, go for some bolder, like this one.

      2. Stunning knee.high boots. Here the quality of the leather, the details and the design is crusial to not look cheap.

      3. A pair of comfy, normal boots with lower heel for every day use.

      4. Elegant but yet chic cashmere sweaters which makes it possible to wear a lighter wool coat or cashmere coat longer.

      5. A nice bag. No fake leather or weird cut, go for a nice design in a colour that match your wardrobe.

      6. Black, blue and maybe grey skinny jeans and one pair of really flare ones (think Chloé's style).

      7. Some basic tops in t-shirt models in grey, black and white. Combine them with big and colourful statement necklaces.

      Best of luck,
      stina

  2. Hi Stina,
It's raining here in Finland on a Saturday. Feels like autumn arrived early, but people are saying that it will be sunny again, in September...

I'm not actually sorry for the summer finally ending, I think I'm happy about it. I love the four seasons, and am pretty tired of the hot days. Now, I have developed a good excuse to buying some new winter boots, I "lost" the old pairs when doing some "recycling". I now need at least two pairs, one for the really cold days, and others for the more pleasant ones.

That's winter sorted out. And I already did do some autumn shopping in the summer. When others were buying t-shirts on sale in +30, I stocked up on 2 waterproof jackets...

Take care, be warm and cosy,
    NK.

    3. Thank U Stina!

Got inspired and cleaned out my clothes (I am often saving things by nostalgia and have shoes from ten years ago that I wouldnt wear even if they came in to fashion again) And I often feel like my wardrobe will be emty but (I can't update all at once) but after reading this I just felt "lets get ut with the old, and all the anxeity that I get from having a closet ful och old things I will not wear.) All I aiming for now is a pair och new t-shirts (having a hard time finding good ones, think COS get "noppiga" to qucik" and some nice new necklace. And it is allready funnier to look into my clean and a little more inspiring closet. I also took care of all my shoes and felt so much happier fpr the things I acually have instead of only focusing of what I would like to have. THANK U!!!! I am ready for fall now! PS good luck the last days, so excited to "meet" little L.

  4. You need to know your size after baby before buying? No ?
Anywa, I can completely understand that because I also bought new patterns, but of course not so expensive than yours!
Happy Stina with fantastic family, and man who can afford you so nice clothes. You have a fantastic life really dear Stina.

    1. Leila,

Of course I can't be sure, but i think i will be the same size as before. I have not gain very much and last time it only took a month or so to fit into my normal wear. So i hope it will be the same, if not, then not.

      All the best,
      stina

  5. I absolutely love autumn here in Sweden, because of all the amazing fall fashion we get to indulge in! Can`t wait to see all the fab outfits I know you will create this fall with your new, beautiful pieces. 6.
