These boots were made for walking ...

So yes Dear readers, (will get back to all of your wonderful and interesting comments very soon) these are for sure the sort of boots that will get reactions and they need some braveness to be worn.
Normally, boots like this, the over the knee kind, is a little bit too much. Especially if you combine them with bare legs and a short skirt with a generous décolleté ... But these ones I intend to combine with thick stockings, a nice knitted dress with a turtle neck or just to a casual cashmere sweater over a pair of skinny jeans. That is a perfect, autumn outfit for every day if you ask me!

(coat: Marc Jacobs, jeans shirt: J.Crew, bag: Bimba & Lola & boots: 3.1 Phillip Lim)

  1. I don't see the problem with the boots, they are beautiful!?!

Come on... it's not 1990 anymore. Over the knee boots have become a standard wardrobe staple. When worn right, of course!

    I like your outfit!

    Have a great weekend!

I am older than you and I wore this style since a looooooong time ago, in fact since I am 20 and they suit me v ery well because I have long leggs also and never I took care of opinions ol every one who does not like! 4. I tried to send a comment not sure it left'
In brief I was saying that I wore since I am 20 years old the "cuissardes" high boots, tall like you and older than you, unfortunately... But each winter I put them and I receive always the same critics I dont mind because it depends on how we wear them and like you with a very nice coat, nice clothes and a style like you have it is perfect. I will wear them as soon as weather colder. I also want new ones in very soft leathet that I've seem yersterday...
Dont even explain anything about your boots you look splendid and you find the way.

  5. Looks and sounds very stylish! The thing with most fashion items is that you can make them classy if you have the "sense for it" - you dress something up or down or combine it with the "right" kind of accessories and tada, there you go. The same way you can squeeze something a bit out of charachter into your own personal style . That's the fun of it, I think. I'm not a very trendy person, I know what suits me and what I like, but it's always fun to pick up something new and make it "yours".
My problem with high boots is that I'm a tiny woman, 160 cm, so all kinds of over or near the knee boots tend to look ridiculous on me, like have tried on my my mum's shoes. The ones you wear would probably end very near my crotch :)

  7. I love the boots. I think they look great. I'm curious as to how tall you are? I ask because I am 5 foot 10 and I tend to shy away from heels of any kind because people always comment whenever I wear them. I would love to be have the confidence to pull off those boots. They're gorgeous and you look fantastic.

    1. I'm 170cm! So if I'm correct, you are 168cm (no?) and depending on how you wear them and what sort of legs you have, I think they would suit you well!?

      Best,
