...

There's a lot in my mind at the moment. The whole move, packing, getting rid of things, getting new things etc, etc ... Feels like a never ending story and on top of that, I'm in a bad migraine wave and the pain is very hard to live with some days. I'm going through all of my things again so expect a lot of beautiful items in Stina's Vintage Store in a week or so when I have organised it all.

This was by the way what I wore as a mother to a little skeletal yesterday afternoon when we went on a great Halloween party for the toddlers.
My all time favourite cookie monster jacket and the Alma GM which I haven't used in a long time.

(And this cashmere code is ending tonight! Remember!)

Talk more soon!

  3. Dear Stina
I understand that it is very exhausting and stressful for you with your migraine and two little kids to prepare everything for your move. I hope you have a lot of help in this time? I am looking forward to the new things in your little "shop" but I also have a small question about this: would it maybe be possible to describe your goods in english instead of swedish and maybe for yoir European (or Swiss like me) readers to mark the prices in EUR instead or plus SEK? I dont want to make you too much trouble or work but it is very difficult for me to see the real prices and understand the whole thing - and one has to be pretty fast to buy your stuff ;)

    Isabel

Yes of course! I will write it in Enlish from here on and also write the price in SEK as
      well as in EUR!

  4. I'm guessing back to Stockholm... I kind of hope I'm wrong as I always admired your desire to have something other than a "Svensson" life but I do understand why you would want to go back to your roots, family, the life you know etc

    1. This stay and move is for 2-3 years MAX. And no matter where in the world I would live I would not have a Svensson life apart from the fact that I am a mother and have two children, a dog and a man. We have a normal daylife like everyone else and sometimes it's fun and sometimes boring. But our life energy will never be "svensson" no matter how hard we try!

    3. Oh what does "Svensson" life mean?

    4. I tried to look it up, does it sort of mean, disappearing into suburbia/being boring yet normal ... humdrum?

  5. you are going back to sweden or england, I think...because you are to isolated in switzerland, because the language is not easy to learn....I hope for you, that M can go with you and the kids and is not a weekend-dad.....

    1. The language is not easy true, but I don't feel that isolated, not more then I would feel in a lot of different places. I miss having grandparents as help with the children but apart form that I've created a social life her also. The problem is the children, you are bound to be quite much at home when you have a 2 year old and a newborn.

  7. She will no go back to Sweden but M has to move and probably in a country where it's speakin Englisj.
With Swiss German and this horrible dialecte which is not even German, it's really impossible to adapt for foreigners or even French speaking. Ans they dont want to speaknthe true German because only Swiss Gernan is goi0d...,, Happily you leave!!

    1. My experience is that the swiss people immediately switch to the non-dialect german when they recognise that you are not swiss. Furthermore, more than the half speaks french very well. Of course the older generation is not able to respond in english but thats not their fault as in school they just teached french. Luckiky that has changed in the meanwhile.

    2. As I only speak English THAT is my problem, that so few people speak English! You would expect the opposite from such a international city but the every day people I meet, dry cleaning, food/grocery staff, playground people etc - they don't speak English. Frustrating!

But I've come to like this place anyhow!

  13. Good luck for packing! I have done that about once a year in five last years, because my husbands carrier. My daughters are already talking in the way that "next time we move..."

I guess you will move to Sweden and I think that as a mother for small children it is best to live and raise your kids in the atmosphere what you know best. If it's not possible you need to be just stable enough to make home and safe anywhere else too. There is not just a one way to do things right, right? By the way...I don't think that you would live any "svensson-life" anywhere in anyway;)
