Streetstyle - Zürich

Saturday in sunny Zürich. Yesterday I was about to loose it as a mother; too much of tantrums, wining and just life with two kids in general which can feel v e r y demanding - but today it feels better again, the sun is shining and Alexis is more stable in his mood. Not easy to suddenly share my attention and I know that he suffers from it, even though I really try to focus on him but I am only a human and I can lose my temper also and I react on him of course. Well, well, nothing new under the sky but sometimes it feels easier when talking about it.
I love this outfit by the way. Can you imagine that clothes like this actually makes me happier in general? A better mother, a lovelier fiancé? It's more fun to get dressed in the morning when you have something nice to put on and even so, it so basic! A cashmere sweater, a pair of skinny jeans, suede, comfy boots and a fur vest. Not very complicated, yet so dressed!

Happy Saturday everyone!

(fur vest: a store here in Zürich, cashmere sweater: Soft Goat here, pants: Zara, shades: Celiné & bag: Chanel)

  1. Beautiful outfit, Stina! (as usual :) )
May I ask what kind of fur it is?

Don't worry about losing your temper. Happens to everyone, you are just human. I am sure you are doing a great job with the boys.

    1. Hi Tanitha,

No, it's my trousers, they have a zipper down there and that's why the pants come up a little, they are from Zara and very comfortable!

  6. Stina you never have been more beautiful. I love your fur coat without sleeves and it will probably be my next buying but if too cold not possiblle to wear it. It's really for these days right now. We cannot really call it simple fit, I find you very sophisticated with the small Chanel bag and cashmere pullover and so nice boots... Beautiful really.

    1. Thank you Uta,

I know, it's just for a few weeks per year where you can use a vest like this, else it's too warm or too cold. But Switzerland is perfect in that sense since the season for more things like this is quite long!

  8. I really don't like fur!!!! I would never ever wear it..... Despite of the production, fur has such a Granny-touch-look. I'm sure there are other clothings that give you a nice warm and cosy feeling. Why you wear these????? I really like your style but I am always very disappointed seeing you wearing dead animals around you. What are your motives behind "wearing furcoats after furcoats" with just naturalness??

    1. God, not this s**t again! I can't take all these complaints about somebody else's choices. Particularly that if you even touch meat, wear ANYTHING in leather (or have you got only plastic bags, gloves, shoes and belts?) or posess anything in leather (armchair? car seats?), then you should just go your way without opening your mouth!

  9. Would you be able to recommend books that you find interesting and involving/affect/touching, you might not have time to read as much now as before but if you have any favorites, it had been very much appreciated.
I am very sure that you are a wonderful mother, you touch with your presence and teach them about all aspects of life.
    Kind Regards L

    1. Spot on, I haven't had time nor energy in about three years to really read a book, but I used to love it and always had one on going on my night table.

  11. A very nice outfit. Fur and leather are ecological materials, fake fur is made out of plastic and it’s not as environmentally friendly as real fur or leather. People who are against fur but tolerate leather are hypocrites because leather is just fur without the hair.

  13. foxes, minks have to live in small cages. fur comes from China, they pull the fur off of live animals.....
I eat organic meat! The animals are kept under appropriate conditions.......fur animals shows, that you are no matter.:(((((((

  14. Oh Marta I cannot say better than you about fur etc.

  15. I read the earlier justification for furs from Stina, but unfortunately cannot agree. Big difference between leather and fur - every part of the cow is used and eaten but when a fox/ chinchilla/ mink is killed for fur the rest of animal is wasted - its not part of the food chain so to speak and is killed simply for vanity. Do you pay attention to where your furs are farmed (some places are much better to the animals than others)? But many fur farms are in China and Russia, where there are no standards about animal care and suffering. Cannot say the same for cows that are reared in countries like New Zealand, USA, etc. that have laws about animal welfare and rules about how they need to be cared for and even killed (as opposed to in China where the fur animals are typically boiled and skinned alive because its easiest to remove pelts). You're right and we all need to make choices, but if wearing fur then how and where the animals are farmed matters.

  16. I think you look great.

In Australia, fur is very divisive- it polarises people. But I have a leather sofa, and leather seats in the car, I eat meat...But people do consider fur "worse" than say a battery hen egg ( which I think is very cruel- some battery hens that are released never grow their feathers back)

Good luck with the tantrums! We all go thought this! x
