Chaotic wknd

This weekend has been so particular, we had a knife in our car's wheal on a parking lot at Djurgården and while we stood there in the middle of the chaos of changing tire with two tired children running around among all cars, someone stole my new Céline bag with everything of importance in it that we had put inside the car.
After two kind souls lended us there phone we could actually located my stolen bag within like 500m away from us since my phone was in my bag. (I had the app "Find my Iphone" in it). A kind man and my man runned after and finally got their hands on it, but of course, with a few things missing. How crazy is that? But at least no one got hurt and my handbag was back.

Eventually we came home and after three hours in this mess I fell asleep as a rock. The police told us that this was common, they look for rather expensive cars when they drive in to the parking, witness the people going away from the car, put a knife in it and knows there's going to be chaos when the owners are back and then take advantage off that and steal handbags, phones, computers etc. So please watch out!

    1. I still try to think like that, but when you do things to a family with children, it's hard to be positive.

  3. Horrible and crazy! 😱 but don't you have Volvo like 90% swedish people?

    1. My man would never drive a Volvo even though I think it's an excellent family car and very safe and trustworthy!

  4. What an awful experience! But thankfully what is lost is replaceable and everyone is safe and well. This might sound naive but I never thought something like this can happen in Switzerland, a country brimming with abundance and prosperity, but then again crime can happen anywhere in the world. Stay vigilant and stay safe, Stina. Take care.

    1. Hi, I'm now in sweden, have you got that confused? Ha, ha ha , never the less both countries stands for safety and a working system. But everywhere nowadays, segregation and less fortunate people try to survive and do it on others grief.

  5. Stina that's horrible and they certainly did their job of causing chaos, isn't the find-my-iphone app brilliant, I was robbed at my home last year and the police were able to locate my things by using the app. You'd think it would stop criminals from stealing phones and handbags.
Very happy you have your bag back and I hope that you don't have anything important missing.
I hope you have a restful week after all this! XO

    1. That's the problem when you have someone in your house, it takes away the safe feeling.

  7. Oh Stina it's horrible, I can imagine how you felt. It's happend to me two weeks ago, but only my tel. the man has taken it and I called my own number and he answered yes I have it you come (far away) to recuperate it but against money!! And as I was alone,it was in the afternoon and as my phone is a part of myself....... I have done it and paid! Etc etc because had to return to my car in town with 38 degrees and no money to take bus back. I had to find a bank, to walk a lot so I can imagine if it has been my bag
(Chanel)! With all all inside . Bad experience. You will stay tired a little because it touches inside us.

    1. That's crazy Uta, and I'm not surprised but sad to hear it. I had friends being tortured like that, someone hacked into their computers and got some private photos and wanted money not to spread them.

      It's hard to feel safe.

Yes, I was so tired after this, my man thought i was very boring but understood of course. NOw I have all incurenses to take care of and the police rapport to finish.

      hugs,

    1. Yes, the police sadly told me these where from other parts then Sweden. One doesn't want to judge, but it is what it is. Maybe we would do the same if no country wanted us and we had a family to provide for and had no where to stay?

  10. Now I'm scared, I live in Östermalm and use Djurgården a lot. I stopped jogging or walking alone when it's getting dark some years ago after I was inteviewed by policemen looking for a man that had attacked a woman close to the second bridge but lately I had started to relax, and now I actually wonder why as there have never ever been so many weird looking men around Östermalm (and I don't mean the Rumanian beggars). And we've had a record number of inbrott this summer, 3 only on my street.

Very smart to have the findmyiphone, so glad that at least you got that and the Céline back!!! What a nightmare, and thanks for sharing so that we can be more careful!!

    1. Yes, even where we live we have this. We have two different supervising systems and the house is full of cameras, even in the garden and around our property.

We should really be careful, yet not loose our freedom, one has to be street smart on where to go alone in the evening and where not to.

  11. Hi Stina! What a terrible experince! I work with this on a daily basis and crime has really gone up and they get more and more (do not find the exact word in English but) clever. They always find new ways to distract people. But oh how lucky you were to get your bag and phone back at least. But it is really terrible that one is not safe anywhere. And terrible for you too Uta and others who have shared, with your experinces. It seems to be a problem all over our world. But as long as we do not get hurt, things can be replaced. Take care! 2. Hello Stina and thanks for the info! Understand it would perhaps be a bit to much, lot's of administration that would come with it.
      Have a great week!

  14. Hi Stina,

so sad to hear baout your weekend! But not the first time I hear about that kind of sneaky and evil plan to steal valuable thing. Just crazy! Glad you are all fine and made me realise I need to activate "findmyiphone". Hope the week willl bring you good moments!

  15. Terrible! It's so extremely sad that there are people who can't let other peoples property (OPP!) be. Yes, there are people in need that don't see other ways, but anyway. I've had my fair share of robbery, even though I really don't have more than my fellow man, but nonetheless, I've felt just as violated every time.
