1th of December

So this morning the kids woke up, finding a chocolate advents calendar in their "24 small presents before Christmas" count down thing from my own childhood. My mother was the best to surprise me and my little sister with little things of joy. It's a tradition, like so many, i've stolen from her. They don't get something everyday, but when they least expect it.

This first of December the sun was shining and the weather cold and crisp. No real signs of snow yet and if you ask me, it's only necessary a week before the big day. Hope you all are enjoying yourself!

See you tomorrow!

  1. You look really pretty with this coat under cold weather. Christmas with children is sweet.
To be honest this period of the year is not the best for me.....
    Anyway big hugs

  2. Oh yes, the Christmas advent calendar. It has always been my tradition to give all my children one and now that they're all grown up they still get one. I start playing the carols around mid November, I love them, I have lots of different styles, the choirs, jazz, middle of the road, I love them all. And today I received an invitation from a neighbour who is hosting a Christmas party for all the whole street. Everyone will come with some food to share, a chair and drinks. The children play in the backyard until they fall asleep and are carried home by their parents. A lovely time of the year.
    Hugs, Vicki.

  5. What a rude comment from Anonymous! I think that the comments on this blog get much more interesting if Stinas readers, like Victoria, share things from their own personal life. So please keep sharing! /Maria

  6. I agree with Anonym. Life of people are not of interest in the blog of our dear Stina.
What we like, may be, if she asks counsels is to participate and answer to her, that's all.
    Hugs

  7. Oh dear, I cannot think but what is going on here and whwt is wrong with you people! The whole point of the blogs and the Internet in general, is to be interactive and a place to speak freely. Unfortunately many do so as anonymous. Anyway, I'm probably much older than you all are, so take this as motherly advice if you feel like it, but for heavens sake, leave Victoria alone and let her and everyone else share their doings, feeling and what ever makes them happy (or sad, for that matter). Ok. this is Stina's blog (and I love it) but the real richness is about sharing.
Merry Christmas to you all from Finland!

    Minna

  8. Thank you ladies for your kind words regarding the nasty comment of anonymous. It's appreciated. I only started commenting when Stina said she liked reading our thoughts and encouraged us to participate. Until then I'd never commented. I always enjoy reading the comments of such interesting and often charming women, always polite until anonymous injects poison into the mix. But I've met women like her before, very quickly forgotten.

  9. Women: Please be kind and appreciate each other rather then the opposite. Everyone has a story that can inspire us others.

Christmas is about giving and open up ourself towards others!
